Buying or Selling Through a Non-Profit

Here’s what a common home purchase or sale through npre looks like:

Buying a home

In California, the typical 2-3% homebuying commission is paid to the real estate agent/broker by the home seller. The homebuyer never pays a commission directly.

An npre agent helps you purchase your home, and our organization allocates the 3% commission to a completely paid solar energy install on your new home.

This fulfills our non-profit mission of accelerating the adoption of renewable energy, and you walk into your new home with no energy bill.

Selling a home

As a traditional brokerage, npre helps you sell your home and rolls the 3% commission over into a completely paid-for solar energy install system on your new home.

Whether you’re moving into or within California, or out of California to another state, npre will handle all of the arrangements and payment for the solar energy system install, a value of up to 3% of the home sale price.

In Southern California this averages between a 10k to 15k renewable energy system, and npre uses licensed solar install vendors to ensure that the system matches your needs and the requirements and aesthetics of the roof on your new home.
